The second postcard was used 22 June 1931 (nearly 80 years ago), however the style of the postcards, both the Celesque series by the Photochrom Co Ltd, makes me think they would have been around from the 1920s.

Steven, is Llangollen on your list?
The station there is right by the bridge.


  1. That's a pretty town and cards. No, this Ll town wasn't on my list. I looked on Wiki and it wasn't on the Heart of Wales Line. In fact, the rail line was severed to the town some 40 years ago, but they restored a tourist railroad, which sounds familiar. That's the River Dee!

  2. You've inspired me to look online and see what it looks like today. I hope it hasn't changed too much.
