My grandad was driving lorries with supplies and troops around this area at this time.  Maybe he drove a vehicle like this.

  1. Do you see how you have distracted me? I looked at the picture and wondered if it was actually supposed to be Palermo, Sicily. So, I decided to look for Paterno, Sicily and now I know all about the place - all because of your splendid photo :)

  3. Is that a wreath or something else over the radiator? Perhaps it is a tube for a giant tire?
