Sincerely yours


When I was getting ready to post yesterday's photo of Ida, I realised that this was also a photo of Ida. She was born in 1898 and lived in Cardiff, Wales, and came from quite a large family.  On the 1911 census, her parents said they'd had 13 children, 9 of whom were still living (in 1911). Her parents were James and Emily (neé Key Hinton, who originated from Worcestershire.  I always wonder the reasons people move large distances, especially years ago, presumably the reasons were economic, moving for work.  The same as nowadays.
