St Paul's

'Dear Doris, daddy and I were very pleased with your cards I was afraid daddy would be late for work he sat examining your fine painting so long.  We are all looking forward for your return if it’s fine will bring Fred and Queen to meet you at side door Donald will no doubt want to come  love from all to all, Mother'

  1. It's always entertaining to read about the lives of those who sent postcards! Great card.

  2. Yesterday I was reading about the painter Van Dyck. In 1641, after he died, the king erected a grave monument in the old St. Paul. Unfortunately it was destroyed (with his tomb) during the Great Fire in 1666.
