  1. In Holland we plant trees to commemorate a royal jubilee (every city has a Wilhelmina tree, and a Juliana tree, etc). The clock tower is a colorful addition to the promenade.

    1. I didn't know about the tree planting, that's a very nice tradition. Some of the monuments or clocks etc built for Victoria required donations or subscriptions to pay for the cost.
