I know that is so true, and now it's got me thinking when did cotton candy first arrive!
In Dutch we call it a suikerspin (sugar spider) (don't ask me why). And, I looked it up, the French call it barbe à papa (father's beard) and the Germans zuckerwatte (sugar cotton wool).
Now this is too cute! Makes me remember how I loved cotton candy as a kid and how happy it made me (not so much anymore)
Haven't had it since I was a kid, but brought back memories of fairs and the like.
